Default 10/10ths Motorsports 2012 Time Trials

By Popular Demand,

10/10ths Motorsports will be adding Time Trials to our events in 2012. I have already purchased all the timing and computer equipment and will be trying it out this Saturday at Putnam Park.
Drivers will need an AMB transponder. I am working on a group discount purchase right now and may have some rentals as well.

Danny and I are working on the classes etc. I want to minimize the rules and maximize the fun.
The #1 rule will be Great Sportsmanship
The #2 rule will be smart / safe driving

I will be posting details on my website over the next month or two.

This should be a lot of fun and you will still get all the track time you can handle, more time for the $$ than anywhere esle

I am sure Danny will have a lot of input on "how to best do Time Trials" There is a stategy to the whole thing and I think we can help folks get better.

Hope to see you there next year
Bill

Bill, you continue to amaze me at your event organization, and your determination to always keep offering "more bang for the buck!"

I look forward to learning more about the TT events. This should be a great new type of experience. I am sure you will run the events in a very safe and fun environment.

Any chance the classing structure will (at least largely) mirror NASA?

Not looking to be a mini-NASA but will have some HP/W rules etc.
Still working on it.

Just get rid of all the ridiculous (and largely arbitrary) adders and subtractors in the S/U/R classes...

Oh, and if you can't / are unwilling to police it, then don't put it in the rules.

You should all know the Golden Rule of 10/10ths Time Trials

NO ONE goes faster than me or a DQ is in your future

BTW, I am also the chief of the rules and grievance committee

Sounds a little like, "If I can't do it in the mechanics, I'll do it with the rules!" Got to watch him, Bill.....

Welp,

You can rest easy for just a bit. I won't be lapping you this Saturday as I usually do.
Black Sunshine will be going to Australia to begin terrorizing that great Continent.

the Aussies have no idea what is in store for them.

However, your respit will not be for long.
I have already picked out the new Black Sunshine and it will not be forgiving to any of you on track
