I'm going to remove the factory radiator fans and need info from you guys who have installed aftermarket fans.

What kind/size is adequate?

Thanks!

Did you fabricate a bracket to hold it or did you use the radiator zip tie things?

I got the highest flowing 16" spal rated for continuous duty. I hammer formed some simple brackets that I welded to the radiator and installed threaded inserts in the fan housing. Two screws and it's secure. Ignore the rest of the cooling as it is a custom setup I built, but no reason you could't do a similar fan setup on a stock type radiator. I even used the factory wiring with a few simiple modifications.

I have this ($50 used on ebay) - http://www.jegs.com/i/Flex-A-Lite/40...0002/-1?CT=999

2500cfm is overkill - even in NYC traffic while towing my tire trailer.

I bought a used 16" SPAL from one of the Nascar recycling places for $49.

I fabricated an aluminum bracket and it weights more than wire ties and somehow my car still weighs less than Mark's

It is overkill but it only weighed about 5.5lbs so what the heck.

A Ron Davis radiator.

I was talking to a guy up here who just built a fabulous sand buggy and he said he bought his radiators for the stuff he builds from a company called Universal. I saw what he had them build and it was gorgeous and 1/2 the price of a Ron Davis.

If I hurry up and get it reinstalled, he'll never know I took it.

BTW, Gee, what is the plastic stuff you have on the leading edge of your front fenders for aero, and where did you buy it?
