Default Vinyl Numbers

I'm looking for a source for numbers for events. Getting tired of ghetto painters tape numbers. Must be removable/re-usable.

David Farmer is your man... he does alot of the racers here on the East Coast and I'm sure he can help you out. He's on this forum by that name too.

Yup, and me on the west coast. He can make them permanent or removable, colors, sizes, fonts, etc.

You can get small (6" or so) at Ben Franklin. They are reusable also. Color is limited to red.

Have used them for several years.

I can normally get numbers out the same day if you are ready to order.

I'm sure David Farmer does a great job.
I see that you are located in the Houston area. You can get them from just about any sign shop. I've used Signtex 281-351-2776 and Red Line Graphics 281-872-5800. They will sit with you and design exactly what you want.

The more I look the more I see that the removable ones do not last long. Like only 2-4 events before the low tack adhesive attracts so much dirt and dust that they don't stick anymore. Thats kind of a bummer but I guess thats the way it goes. There are also the static cling numbers but I am doubtful that they would stay on at speed.

I have used both the permanent and removable stuff from David Farmer and they hold up great. I can see the removable stuff lasting at least a whole season or more. Just make sure the car is clean when you put them on, and when you take them off they go straight from the car back to the contact paper. Dont leave them lying around. David's work is really top notch.

Self liner paper. Cut your own. It is just sticky enough and comes off easily. I Bought a 50ft roll off ebay for cheap.

Been using this method for ten years....in fact, I left the numbers on my car for three years once (rear quarter glass) and it was still fine in spite of over 30 track events, washes, etc.

I have a full set of the reusable vinyl, and been really happy with them - but I am a very occasional auto-xer.

Looking for something that sticks at 150 mph. Do any of these mentioned do that? How about in the wet (but slower )

Most of these will, including the shelf paper.............if they work at 120+, it will work at 150.
