Default Trailer Brake Controller

I remember folks had some serious opinions about the best brake controller... I think Tekonsha was the brand... Which model?

I use it. I like it. Lots of info about it on the etrailer web site, including installation videos.

all my old trucks have the old fashion brake controlers.. there great no problems...but the new ones have a electronic gain control that really sucks...if you hit the panic brake the brakes only go to the max gain set..not lock up....dumb

The Prodigy by Tekonsha is supposed to be a very good one. I have 2 of my friends that use it and love it. JD

Thanks guys. The Prodigy is the original, then there's the P-2 and the link the first response gave is their newest ... P-3. So I'll order one of those up soon.

What year truck? my '09 Ford controller integrates with the stability control system and really works well. My truck didn't come with it, but after I installed it had the local dealer enable the function in the system controller. Just a thought.
