That is a GREAT price on the G Stop kit. I paid more than that minus rotors and shipping for my kit 2 years ago. Bump for a good price.

I bought a set of these used a few months back... worth every penny. I ran comp school and raced at VIR two weekend ago and was very happy to have them in place. The best part is the 20mm thick pads. I'd have gone through a set of OEM pads on Friday in Comp School alone. With the Wilwoods and Carbotech XP12 pads I still have over 1/2 the original pad thickness after four 40 minutes sessions in Comp School, 2 sprint races Saturday (25 minutes), and a one hour "fun race" on Sunday.

Is it straightforward to move the stock front brakes to the rears while replacing the fronts with this set?

If you want to remove your parking brake then yes... you just put the front rotor on the rear and bolt the caliper up.

However there's no need... it would mess up the brake bias and add rotational mass.

If you do a search there are several threads of people doing this and it looks pretty cool.

Do you have any data comparing these to stock calipers such as clamping force, pad surface area, etc? Since they use stock size rotors I need to know if the results/cost is worth while..
ie; 10% more braking power would be great or would I have to go bigger to get that much. Also I run front calipers on the rear.
Thanks
Joe

How do these compare to the Hardbar/AP Racing setup? They are basically the same price.

pad surface is not the end all. Caliper stiffness is what they offer. Thicker pads last longer and wear more even so you end up saving money. Better than stock in the later laps. I doubt they stop better than a NEW set of OEM but they are better on track and worth the money. They are great for the price I had may be the first set from LGM. I have SL-4 WW on rear with 13 rotors on rear. You can modulate them better as they are more consistent in feel than a used spread OEM caliper. Thermo-lock pistons are a great addition. 7420 pad shape is arguably the most common pad around with tins of compound choices. I like H from WW I never tried A but never felt I needed the A.

I've already got stainless lines and I don't need rotors. How much for just the calipers, brackets, and pads for a beginner on a road course?

I don't have any hard data regard the stock vs the LG BUT the stock stock has 2 piston calipers vs. the Wilwood's 6 piston calipers. The LG/Wilwood caliper is ALOT stiffer than the stock caliper.

Thanks for your feedback on the bracks.

The kit is available with the following 2 packages....

#1-Lines, pads, rotors, calipers, and brackets

OR

#2-Lines, pads, calipers, brackets, AND NO ROTORS.

Your lines will not work with the Wilwood calipers as the have different ends.

I don't know much about the Hardbar/ AP setup BUT I don't think the AP/ Hardbar system can use stock rotors...If that is the case the LG/ Wilwood system is alot more cost effective.

I found them about the same as stock brakes, but they are more consistent and the pads and rotors last longer. Plus the pads are cheaper and won't taper as much. To balance front calipers/rotors in back you might want to go with a 14" rotor in front. You also might need a larger master cylinder to handle the extra piston displacement or your pedal might get long. At least that's how my ST2 car is setup.
