Default a C6 Z06 Track Weapon - What equipment to use

Here is a video walkaround of a customer's C6 Z06 Track Weapon.
We shot the video during our MTI Racing Customer Trackday in Savannah GA.

Please keep in mind that this is the type of build that can be driven on the street, demonstrate supercar performance, and still be reasonably affordable.

Please enjoy the video:

Not sure I like the negative connotation of the word "weapon", but the car is impressive

Question to OP - Does the MTI stage II engine package put 570 to 585 hp at the wheels or at the flywheel?

Nice looking car.

Curious whether you've made any modifications to the cooling system: coolant, engine oil, trans, diff?

These are 570-585 at the wheels.
This gives you about 670 flywheel horsepower.
Plenty of power, with completely streetable mannerisms.

Yes, we added a Dewitts radiator, MTI Racing Track Oil Cooler System, and additional trans and diff coolers. The great part is that you can add these items as needed. The car is a great template for street and track duty.

BY THE WAY... we just came back from Daytona, where there was a trackday with Vipers and Porsches.
The owner of this car just won TT1, (Time Trial Group 1). He ran faster laptimes than all the Vipers in the Unlimited class.
This proves our declaration that YOU CAN DO IT! With this equipment, you can run very, very fast.

Please see the attached image of the timesheets. You'll see Mike at the top of the sheet.

What about modifications that require a tuning change, I have a car that MTI built but won't unlock the computer, they did offer to flash it back to stock if I took it out and sent to them.

Curious how much this car weighs? By my calculations, it would have to tip the scales at just over 3700 pounds to be legal for TT1...

That's funny Scott.
In fact, Mike's instructor was at Daytona. Mike ran faster than his instructor. He has improved very well, and will be attending a Competition School soon.

Next event...Chin Thanksgiving Weekend, Road Atlanta.

We weren't there to win any class. We provided registration a dyno sheet. They put him in that class. It probably weighs 3300 with the roll bars? So it would be a TTU car. We had requested a class change, but they left it.

Had they reclassified Mike in TTU, he STILL ran 2 sec faster than the TTU Vipers, and would have won the TTU class. That's movin'.

This is a great combination that a regular average guy can drive. You don't have to be a pro driver, but our combo is so well balanced, we can make you perform like a pro.

Great accomplishments for Mike!

Does it really take anyone longer than .4sec to shift with the stock box, let along longer to make the claim of dropping the shift times by .4sec true?

Ben,
The data was aquired using Aim Data Aquisition. You can measure the shift time using the clutch versus shifting without using the clutch. The transmission shifts extremely fast! It caught me by surprise! We wouldn't be pumped up about it if it was only a marginal gain. All you need is to drive it once...and you'll never go back to a stock gearbox.

The TT2 Vette was a full interior C5 we use as a customer rental car.
Bone stock engine with headers only.
It had coilovers with AP Big Brakes.
The main reason why it was so fast is because Reese *** drove the darn wheels off it!
