Default Where to buy a helmet?

I need a SA2005 or SA2010 by 10/20 for a DE. Apparently SCCA autox allows an extra 5 years over PCA.

Anyway my M2000 or SA2000 is NG.

Full face SA2005 or SA2010 size large & inexpensive, I'm in a fully closed car & don't want to spend $$$, rather buy tires.

If I were in an open car or motorcycle I'd spend more.

Where would you suggest online & reliable vendor.

I saw some Zamp for about $170. shipped.

What say?

The 2005's I looked at are not very discounted so may as well get 2010.

Helmetcity.com

Bought 2 so far. Last one too big. One phone call and "no hassle" policy is perfect. Got a fedex return label no questions asked. I'll buy from them again. 2 day free shipping too!

I've bought from Helmet City before and they are a good company. But don't expect much of a big price difference when shopping the various internet sites for SA2010 helmets. Most places will be either the same price or within $5. Look for free shipping to save the most.

I bought this PyroTech helmet from Solo Racer at the start of this season for $329 delivered (a version without the graphics was about $30 cheaper). They have some SA2005 helmets available, but go with the SA2010 helmets. This version of helmet can use tinted face shields and have replaceable foam cheek pieces. PyroTech helmets are made in Bend OR.

Ordered this, Pyrotect used to be a Bell "price Point" helmet but split to be it's own company about 4 yrs ago.

This had a bigger eye port & snap out lining for washing over the similar Bell so I got it.

It's a CA company so they gave me $20 off to cover sales tax without asking. Very nice to deal with. Thanks all again.

Update,

Used the new helmet at a DE, couldn't be more pleased (unless I had paid less ).

Slides on easy with a proper fit, slightly bigger eyeport makes sunglass routine easy, tried with visor down, no fog, has lots of vents, also vents make it possible to talk with helmet on.

Very strong recommend on this helmet/vendor.
