Default Hoosier slicks (265/630R17) R80 compound

Just looking around on Hoosier's website and seen these as there aren't many options for 17" rims with Hoosier slicks. Would these tires work on T1 CCW Classics? The rims I would have to put these on are 17x10 fronts and 17x11 rears.

On Hoosier's website, they recommend a 10" rim. Just wondering if these tires are too tall as well. It's a huge points hit for ST2 but being a 265 wide tire would get back some of those points. Just something I was thinking about.

I would be worried that 630's are not tall enough!
I run 650's and they are shorter than stock tire size.

275's seem a bit stretched on 11" rims. I wouldn't think you could get a good seal with 265, but I have not tried.

The 265 should work well on the 10" wheel and probably OK on the 11". The 265 race tire is a good bit wider than a 265 street tire would be.

I agree though that it will be pretty short. Only about 24.8-25" tall. It should still work, just not "optimum".

Leaves me to question... why are they so short? I guess very few people run slicks on 17" wheels so no real demand for them.

They are probably used on smaller cars with less fender clearance than a Vette.
