Max AT fluid temp?
My 2006 C6 Z51 with the auto trans runs high tranmission temps on the trach at Road America during HPDE...what's the recommended high temp max for auto trans fluid?

I have a 2001 C5 and the warnings go off at around 250. I ended up putting in a secondary transmission cooler in front of the radiator and now my temps don't get above 200 for a 25 minute session at Spring Mountain race track with 80-90 degree ambient temps. I would highly recommend this mod.

The higher the temp the less life you will get out of your tranny. That's a fact, and you can find makeshift charts showing the correlation from manufacturers. Get it as cool as you can, and you'll still be replacing the trans in an auto car sooner than you would be in a manual.
