Best 2-piece rotor: vote!
I'm an intermediate HPDE driver trying to select a 2-piece rotor for my C6 with Z51. One thing is sure: I don't want the stock cheese graters any more!
Two brands seem to have surfaced to the top: Coleman with AFX/Zip hats, and DBA 5000. Prices are fairly close. Which do you run on the track?

I was skeptical when I bought the 2 piece stoptech aero rotors, but I was desperate to see if I could get a front rotor to last longer than the cheap 1 piece. I'm a believer now, getting several race weekends out of them (I can't remember the last time I changed the rings). They get heat cracks everywhere after a while, but don't split like the cheap ones do. Definitely worth the money. The hardbar rotors look very nice, but I bought these before they came out.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I'm looking for a rotor that will work with my stock sliding calipers. I exchanged emails with Gary@Hardbar yesterday: his rotors don't work with stock calipers.

Just purchased the LG Motorsports 2pc full float rotors. Going to the track in a week so we'll see how they hold up, but knowing the quality of LG, I know they will be great

Please share the choices as I am in the same position as you. I am only aware of the DBA. However TireRack told me to replace the ring costs almost as much as the whole thing

if you can go more than 3-4 events without cracking the rotors (which you should, with z51 sizes and dual use tires), it is likely cost effective to run cheaper one piece rotors. the only reason i run 5000s is that I got tired of rushing to swap my rotors in the paddock. the cheaper ones (including made in china stoptech "sport") started going from "looks pretty good" to cracked all the way through in a couple of sessions, usually on the 3rd day after putting brand new ones on.
for those who did not hear my ranting on this before, yes i do have full ducting and no, there is no such thing as pads that are "easier" on the rotors when it comes to heat cycles (only drivers)

One piece rotors fronts only last about that long

I just added Coleman rotors front and rear so hopefully they will last 4 times as long as the stock rotors since their replacement cost is 3.5 times more than stock.

as far as how long a particular rotor will last, it is a function of a driver.
if I could go back to my driving "style" from 6 years ago, i would be able to make NAPA rotor last 15 events, that's 500% improvement in rotor life, imagine that!!!!
