Default Fun chasing an F3000 around Buttonwillow #14

I had a great couple of days at a private track day at Buttonwillow. We were using #14 CW and there were rarely more then 4 cars on the track at a time. Here is a video of me chasing an F3000 for a couple of laps. To be honest these were not my fastest laps of the two day event...but, it was a lot of fun being on the track with such a fantastic car. I am sure that if he wanted to he could have left me in his dust. The highlight of the two day event, aside from having unlimited track time without traffic, was getting private instruction from Marc Gene (2009 24 hours of Le Mans and 2010 12 hours of Sebring winner...and hanging out with Mick Fleetwood (who is one of the few people I have ever let drive my car). What a great weekend.

Looks like you had a great time Charly. And then get a concert to boot. It don't get any better than that. Great photos.
When are you going to come to race at the Corvette Challange ?

That sounds like a fantastic event. Just whose garage was the after party held at ?? Was it some type of museum - many - fantastic cars from what I could see.

A good friend of mine has expanded his collection to the point of turning it into a private museum. He really has some fantastic cars. My favorate is his 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB which is probrobly the finest original example in the world (you can see it's red nose sticking out in one of the pictures. It only had 500km on it when he got it and now it has about 1,200km. I also really like his Ferrari P4...and of course his Ferrari F1 car, which Michael Schuemacher used to win the 2001 F1 championship.

Here is a slightly better picture of the 275 GTB....Mick mentioned to my friend that this was his favorate car in the collection...so my friend opened the museum door and pulled the car out for Mick to take for a spin.

I am not sure what engine it had...but it sounded like a monster. I was supposed to have a chance to drive the F3000...but, 2 of the cars got caught up in customs and this one was build for Jordy Gene who is VERY small. Almost no one fit in the car but Marc and Jordy Gene. It was a thrill to share the track with that car...but, can't wait until next time when I can drive it
