Default Tracks near Tulsa, OK

Just curious, what tracks are within a reasonable (8hr?) tow from Tulsa?

Looking at Trackpedia you have quite a few:
Hallet would be closest then Heartland Park, Eagles Canyon (TX), Texas Motor Speedway, Motorsport Ranch, Texas World Speedway, Memphis Motorsport Park, Motorsports Park Hastings, Mid-America Motorplex, Iowa Speedway, Gateway (closed right now).
Just outside the 8hr is Motorsport Ranch Houston.

Lot of Rovals in that group.

There's nothing within towing distance of Tulsa. Hell, it takes 8 hours to get to a paved road.

Sounds like there's a residency program on the horizon for someone.

I guess it depends on if you are trying to get away from snow as well. However, in Metro-Detroit we have:

Waterford Hills less than an hour for most
Gingerman about 3 hours
Grattan about 2 hours
Mid-Ohio about 3 hours
Mosport about 5 hours
Autobahn about 6 hours
Blackhawk Farms is 6-7 hours
Putnam Park is 5-6 hours
Beaverun is 5-6 hours
Calabogie is 10-12 hours depending on Toronto traffic, but well worth it

You can also get to the Glen pretty easily through Canada.

Ken
Plus you could ferry over Lake Michigan to Road America.
And GL/MW region car counts are going to be way better than car counts near Tulsa (except for some of the Texas races).

You should definitely check out Hallet. I have not been there (yet) but I want to go. Some friends have gone and it sounds like a really good, technical track.

Nice!
I was refering more to the tracks in the area than Michigan itself, obviously if you don't like - or can't tolerate the cold the northern winters aren't going to be for you. But once it thaws out there are some pretty good tracks to run.
I'm only 20 min from Road America myself, but I wouldn't mind being closer to Mid-O.

Hallett is a great technical track. AT 1.8 miles and 10 turns it's not a high speed track, but fun and lots of run-off. I'll be there on the 28-29th.

Memphis is closed (although new ownership so maybe someday)

Hallet does look interesting. Somehow Tulsa is 12hrs west of TN and still a 2 day tow to Miller.

Love Hallett. The Bitch (signature turn named after a female dog) is fun either direction. Often you can run the track one direction and the following day the other direction.

Eagles Canyon looks fun and when the car is back to par, i hope to get there for an weekend.
