Default Hamilton/Stewart swap rides

Despain mentioned it on WT the other night. Rumor is the new McClaren is a bit off the pace, now we know why, they've been devoting time/resources to build a tub 10" wider

Newey could make that Big Gulp cup holder provide 5lbs of downforce.

I'm sure the McLaren will come with the Jaws of Life so they can spread the seat for Stewart.

OTOH, the NASCAR will come with shims to fit between Hamilton's *** and the sides of the seat.

Tony has lost about 20 lbs so far this year and is apparently still working on it, he actually looks much better.

I don't mind F1 and I like CUP and my buddy can't stand F1 (b/c he says they don't race - one car gets out front and no one has a prayer, no passing, etc, and for the most part I agree) - so he and I always have lively discussions about this kind of swap;

- the CUP guys do better more quickly in the F1 car than the F1 guys do in the stock car (proof is Gordon and Montoya when they swapped), and I think it will be the same this time - Tony will adapt almost immediately and have pretty respectable lap times in the F1 car, and Lewis won't have a clue in the heavy CUP car that has no grip (you know, a car you actually have to drive...)

"I'm not massively interested in it, to be honest. I saw the steering wheel and it didn't look spectacular," Hamilton said of Stewart's Number 14 Chevrolet Impala.

OTOH though, Lewis is one of the few drivers in F1 right now who actually CAN drive. Unlike drivers like Button who needs a good car with a great setup to be able to drive. I'm not saying Button is a bad driver, just not a driver like Hamilton And it should be easier for Stewart, considering he raced Indy Car's for a bit..

BTW, Gordon lapped Montoya's F1 car fast enough to qualify for the Indy F1 grid. However, stomping on the brakes just before the first turn caused the car to decellerate so fast it gave him vertigo. Gordon is amazing and so is the modern F1 car.

It certainly tilts the odds in his favor when you consider Stewart's open wheel history.

We recently had Logano out to drive our cars... He can turn both directions very well.

I believe they're supposed to do the tradin' sometime around Nascar's trip to the Glen.
