Rotors all around
Hi all-
Time to replace the rotors (all four) on the Vette (1994 LT-1, base suspension not HD or Z-51) I’m looking for an upgrade in the rotors-what would you recommend?
This Vette is driving on clear weather weekends and might be put to use in some auto crossing this summer. I would like to stay in the stock class.
Thanks

Get Centric Premium's or AIMCO/NAPA ultra premium's for a decent blank -
Stoptech slotted are good quality (they are Centric Premium's w/ slots)
And DBA use their own iron/casting tooling/etc but can be a bit spendy. Quite durable though.
The pads are what make the real difference though. Select what fits your needs and don't try to make a particular pad do what it is not designed for.

Bump for Ken as KNS. Very helpful.
I have the DBAs on my front and the Centrics on my rear. As they are consumable items the Centrics on the front may be my next test just to see how they hold up. I like the venting design on the DBAs though for better air flow.
I also need to get some brake ducts as well. That should possibly help rotor life.

My centrics havent been too bad. I dont know the price difference from C4 to C5, but my premium fronts were just $110 from rock auto shipped, and with rears, it should be under $200. The centric rotors I had on the front before lasted about 5 or 6 weekend events, and the rears havent even started to crack yet.
