Do you mean with course? There are 3 courses, the main course, the Jefferson, and the Shenandoah.

You DEFINATELY want to do the main course (original) course. That is good for Corvettes and high HP cars, if is ver fast, has a HUGE strait with some really fast corners and elevation changes like the glen, but some tight parts that require lots of technical skill and proper car placement. It is also a beautiful area.

Be prepared though for a a paddock and facilties that are a throwback to 1973. (dirt and gravel, no garages, and one small dank bathroom. But you go to drive, not for the 4 star ammenties (like NJMP). Stay in Charleston, it is about 15 min drive to the track and is the closest town with decent resurants and such. You will not find any decent hotels. I been going since 01 with BWM club in April and we always stayed at the Northgate Inn, you will not find anything much better.

Good luck!

Main. The Shenendoah and Jefferson are used mainly for DE's and club events. If you plan to race, the main circuit is the most likely venue. There are alot of changes being made to the complex, lots of heavy equipment seen when I was out there last weekend.
There are bathrooms w/ showers near the timing & scoring tower, not just near the pits.
Don't confuse Charleston (WV capital) w/ Charles Town (near the track.) There are decent hotels in Winchester which is about the same distance from the track as Charles Town.

As with others...Main course all the way. Runoff is poor (concrete walls) on Shenandoah and your car also can get airborne there. Main has corners that are not ridiculously tight and lots of sweepers

When are you going? Always good to see other Corvettes. NVCC used to run in July but last year they did not go on the Main.

Jefferson is pretty good, too. I was apprehensive about it at first, but it was a ton of fun.

Having said that I live close and wouldn't make a "trip" to drive anything other than the Main course, though.

We have gone out with them a few times at NJMP and like them so that is why we thought going to Summit with them would be a good idea.

I love Shenandoah. Very technical. A lot like a high speed autocross, in that you have to place the car exactly at every point on the circuit, without any let up. Big Bend leading onto the back straight is a real test of commitment.

Glad somebody loves Shenandoah; I didn't like it at all Tough course to learn, end of back straight is rough and scary (I don't like lighting up the rears at 130 MPH in 4th gear), and they got two feet of concrete barrier for every one foot of track. I also spent some time wondering how they mowed the one foot of grass between the pavement and the jersey barrier

Good to hear about the main course. May I'll put that one the schedule. I also run several of the Track Daze events.
