Looking at lap times on My Laps from this PBOC weekend, Curran in the GA spec Corvette cut 1:28's. Kuno Wittmer ran some 1:23's, he must have been in his SCCA WC Viper. That seems like a lot faster than last years times on the old tires. Aren't they on Pirelli's in WC now?

Kuno was running an ACR-X with Michelin slicks on it - he was moving along really, really well. Dunno the exact details of his motor, but it was pulling like a freight train on rocket fuel - pretty impressive.
The Whelen cars are beutiful and the guys there were all really cool. We chatted with several of them and they let us look all over the cars - really top notch work. The new Rolex GT car is a piece of art.
Cool video and awesome car. But come on - they can afford a better camera mount!
That's actually my GoPro. I like setting it up on drivers helmets since they've got the best point of view and you get the greatest sense of speed.
I also ran some cameras in the cockpit and on the windshield but this turned out to be the best since the whole car vibrates so much at speed.
The only camera set up that they have are the required Chase Cams which aren't as good of quality.
Sorry it's not up to your standards.

Curran was only in the car for a total of ten minutes the whole weekend. What you saw in that video was all the track time that he got. He didn't get a full clean lap in without traffic, so that time isn't too accurate.
Rolex car was on Continental tires. WC cars on Pirellis.

The video is great!
It was a GoPro. I had it mounted upside-down on Curran's helmet using a 3M mount and some extensions to avoid the head-bar.
