Default FIA race licence valid in US ?

Hi, i am planning on buying house and spend more time in US.

Anyone know if tracks in US honor us from Europe with FIA race licence ?

i wanted to try that track facility up close to Las Vegas, pharump something, and they would not let us on track in their Z06 unless we took a 3000 usd driving instruction class.

At the very least I think the SCCA and NASA would recognize your FIA license and issue one.

NASA, SCCA and any other group should accept an FIA licence.

So where are you planning to buy a house here?

You are NOT missing anything at Spring Mountain except a bunch of rocks and catci! Maybe the Chicken Ranch

SCCA will accept an FIA license for Regional races, as long as medical documentation is up-to-date. You will be required to become an SCCA member, but your FIA competition license will be accepted for competition.

Tracks generally do not require a competition license...the sanctioning body that is running the competition does. It's likely that the guys in Parumph weren't going to turn one of their $50K+ Corvette cars for a track day to "some foreign guys with a weird license" without some checkout and guarantees.

Don't be insulted....I wouldn't throw you the keys, either.

Sounds like they just wanted some money from a foreigner (OMG! a foreigner driving a high torque car! SCARY!)

This may help:

IMSA recognizes an FIA license. Ask how I know.

Do track days at Spring Mountain Motorsports in Parhump or the get together of many of the guys on this Forum at Road America or for that matter any other track days, require any kind of license?

A driver's license like any other school. However, they are a school and it probably doesn't matter what kind of competition license you have you will pay to take the course because that is all that is offered.

Thanks, but Spring Mountain has Corvette Track Days separate and apart from the school. The two Spring Mountain Schools that I attended were fun and worth the money.
