NASA CMP Honda Civic
So I was at CMP this past weekend running with NASA in the HPDE 3-4 group ... According to my videos I was running in the low 1:50s fairly consistently... In the video below you will see me letting a late model 4 cylinder Honda Civic by ... This guy was darn fast and after watching him in the rear view for most of one lap he caught me and I lifted and let him roll on by ... Ya can hear me say "I am about to be passed by something very small" Hats off to a well built well handling sleeper civic ... dude was fast :-) I never got to speak with him ... Maybe others here know him and can chime in on his ride :-)

That would be Mike in the Silver Civic Hatchback. I have run will him in DE2 and DE3. We are pretty even with me on street tires.
I believe it is making around 300 HP with a supercharged 2.4 liter engine out or an Acura TSX. Mike is also a good driver and a cool guy.
Dont feel bad that Civic is fast.

Burning Brakes
I know exactly how you feel. There is a fellow named Spencer in the northeast who races an older Civic that is wicked fast. Barely has to brake for corners.

Does he go to the Glen? I was passed by a Honda there that was hitting the corners on 3 wheels, I thought crap I just got passed by a Honda, then I saw him in the paddock and realized it was gutted and modded right down to the missing headlights for better airflow.

I passed a RenaultSport Clio Cup 200 in a minivan with luggage in the back once at the Nurburgring. The (helmeted) faces of the guys in the lil' Clio were priceless. There's always someone faster.

Got told about this at the Road Atlanta this weekend.
Appreciate the props. You made me work to catch you.
And Greywolfe has my setup right. Dyno'd at 296 and just under 3000 lbs with my lard but in the drivers seat. Running on RA-1s.
