This is going to be a fantastic event, put on by Road America, and the Registry of Corvette Race Cars. It is going to happen the Sunday after the ALMS race at Road America, which is happening on Saturday, there are going to be a lot of events planned for the weekend and the Corvette Racing Boys are planning on hanging around for Sunday as well. Make sure that this is an event that you all plan on attending.

Here is the E-mail I just got back from Jan?
John,
We should be able to offer you track time and a special weekend of Corvette racing.
We’d like to get the word out to more NASA Corvette racers. Please feel to forward the flyer and/or put me in touch with racers who might be interested.
Regards & thanks,
Jan

what is the difference of the 1 day entry corvette world tribute, and 1 day spectator only?...other than 250$ a person
and looks lilke you need to be a registered racer, and have a license. no racing for me :-(

They will have HPDE and wheel to wheel but won't have time trails. I talked to the person running the event and it doesn't sound like they are looking into having a transponder system for people that would want to do time trails.

Any more info on the HPDE part? I'm thinking of signing up.

There isn't a lot of details! I was wondering about race classing too. The registration is handled by Road America instead of a club, like I'm used to. I was thinking of emailing the Registry of Corvette Race Cars, there is email contact on their site.
It looks like a cool event, wish there was more info!!!

Hello all,
Sorry for the delay in info, but details for the event are quickly being finalized for the Corvette World Tribute, and it is going to be a GREAT event!! I have heard that Bob Bondurant, Doug Hooper, Ron Fellows, Tony Delorenzo, and the Corvette Racing Team, to name a few are all planning on making the event. I also know that there are many many more past and present Corvette legends that will be attending.
We already have hundreds of names on the emailing list and we have spoken to a great many racers and that are going to be bringing cars to race, show, and just plain hang out.
The entry form is ready and on line. All registration will be done through Road America (please see their website) and there is a better explanation of run groups there as well. Road America is also going to be in charge of grouping each car in the classes, teching, and running the on track events. They will have very experienced "Racers" running the event so things should go very smoothly.
Of course don't forget that you can also support Corvette Racing during the ALMS race on Saturday and watch any of the 5 other support races that will be taking part during the weekend; including the SCCA Trans Am Series, which always has a nice turnout at RA.
I will be posting more as the details come available. If you have any questions let us know, I will do my best to keep everyone in the loop
