I'll be down there working with ATEN Motorsports and their F430. I'll get down there Wednesday also.
Dave - what car are you driving in the CTSCC race? I'll stop by and say hello.

Thinking about coming over for the 24 this year, last time I did it was 2002!
Bringing the other half and won't obviously have my vette as I'll be in a crappy rental.

7:30 Friday night at Stonewood in Ormond sounds good to me!!
I'll try to keep track of how many we'll have and check with the restaurant to have them ready to accomodate us.
Let me know if you're in and how many in your party.
Also, if you're looking for something/somewhere to eat Saturday night, I went to this event last year and it was great!!!

It ain't cheap, but it's very CL sitting up in the high-rent sky-boxes, eating great food, drinking a couple glasses of wine or beer, and watching the race through a huge picture window way above the back stretch for a few hours.
You can go in through gate 70 on the backside of the track in the morning and they have transportation over to the infield where you can watch the start of the race and wander around the infield all afternoon until the meal stuff starts at 6:00PM to 10:00PM - at least that's the way it worked last year. It was cold last year, and watching a few hours of the race from the sky-box was great!!
If you already have a race ticket, the meal and sky-box thing costs $50 each - like I say, kinda expensive but a great experience.

I remember in 1999 Chevrolet got us Vette owners a parade lap, fed us in one of those big sky boxes on the back stretch. Life was good. 1999 was GM/Vette first year at Daytona and they sent all of C5 owners an invitation.
It was all free....except for the $50,000+ I paid for my C5.

I'll be there from Wednesday through Sunday. Kind of a big event for me this year. Lainey and I will be getting married in Gatorade Victory Lane on Thursday at 6:00 PM. We're wearing our driving suits for the ceremony. Then we're having our reception upstairs in the 500 Club. We met on a Porsche Club ski trip and I was her instructor in her Cayman S during the HPDE season. I guess she liked the instruction...
We have about 60 people coming to the wedding. Many of them are track people. It should be a blast!!!
Hope to see some of our Corvette friends over the weekend.

This Ferrari deal is only a one-race thing for now, but it's a great opportunity to get educated by some of the best in the business. Hopefully it will turn into something more, but I'm just planning to enjoy the experience and learn as much as possible.
Steve: Congrats on the wedding, sounds like an amazing event!
