Either HRPWorld or Pegasus sent me an email recently that I checked out because my RX7 still has the power side mirrors...

Pegasus has the SPA mirrors, too...

what you would gain in weight savings I think you would lose in aero as GM probably put much work in the shape of the mirror as I remember reading.

Maybe just gut the motors.

Steve,

I ran the SPA mirrors on my Camaro.

1. They are really, really light and cool looking.

2. They were always loosening up. I eventually loctited the set screws but it still didn't completely solve problem. Luckily I could reach drivers mirror to re adjust as necessary.

Note: The Camaro was really a stiffly sprung car (it was LG's old 1993 Speed Vision Challenge Camaro)

I think I still have the drivers mirror in my garage if you want to try it. Just pay shipping.

Thanks J.R.

If the SPA mirrors didn't work for you, they won't work for me. My car is pretty stiff too.

I just took out everything I could in the stock mirror. It now weighs 2lbs. each. Savings of 5oz's per side.

These mirrors look pretty neat. I'll call up APR and see what the weigh.

We've used the SPA mirrors in the past and the lense is just glued in, they pop out all the time. We had it happen twice.
I tried the Genesis mirrors more recently and liked them much better - plus they were cheaper than the SPA's.

Got them from HRP

Could give Riley Technologies a call, they may have some of the mirrors used on LG's GT2 car. They used the same housing, and guts as the DP cars, just the stalk angle and length are different.

Just take them off completely and install a good rear view mirror in the car.
