Default Installing ARE Dry Sump

Who has installed the ARE Dry Sump system while keeping the OE type springs? Looking to mount the oil filter behind the front inner left fender, this is workable although not real convenient.
Where have you installed the oil filter assembly?

Looking for input and ideas

Hello
I just installed are on my car. The oil filter is placed on the drivers side up/in where you originally hsve the two bolts for the leaf spring. A bracket was made, and the oil filter is sort of tucked away up-in there on the front lh corner of the engine.

Give Robert Finlayson a call (815 254-2631). He has CO's on his race car, but has the oil filter mounted where you are talking about mounting it.

We have always installed the oil filter up in the left front fender. It's about a 15 minutes longer to do a oil change.

I agree with Randy, easiest place to mount it is in drivers side front fender. Shortest lines, away from headers. A little more work to change oil but it's not like you do that everyday. If I get time, I will pull car out and snap a shot.

Looks like your behind the front wheel? What is required to get the filters removed. I was looking at front of the wheel near the brake air duct. I think the air duct can be removed when its time for the oil change and not removing the inner fender.... or am I just dreaming

Randy.... what's your thought front or rear of the fender area

Try to avoid putting an oil filter, coolers, lines, etc., directly in front of a tire. If there is any leak it can get ugly.

The rearmost inner fender panel comes out as easy as the brake duct....

In order for me to change my oil filters, I remove the left front tire-wheel assembly and then I remove the fender liner. The fender liner is taken out by removing 7 screws using a 1/4 drive 7 mm socket, a 2-inch extension and a 1/4 drive rachet.
