Default What's a good cheap Oil/tranny cooler?

Looking to get an oil/tranny cooler in the next couple of months. I was looking at the dewitts rad with the built in coolers.

Anyone have suggestions? I do not want to break the budget on this either.

Thanks

Randy@DRM set me up with a Ron Davis unit that's done a great job in my C6.

Air to oil tends to be more effective in temp. drop as compared to water to oil. That said, a good radiator with built in oil cooler will work and is a little easier to plumb. Both the DeWitts and Ron Davis are excellent setups.

If you cannot do both diff and tranny I would do diff first as it will get quite a bit hotter than tranny. That is unless you have an auto. Contact Randy at DRM for the whole setup or partial. He is very knowledgeable, fair and a great forum vendor.

cheap and good rarely go together unfortunately. I run all DRM stuff and it works great easy to install with all the parts and support you need.

did anyone use both the z06 air cooler and the DougRippie or Dewitte radiator..

I'd like to consider AN fitting to complete the job..
wondering how to change the stock oil cooler lines from the factory clip in system to a threaded system because the fittings are not available w/ out buying a new cooler..

I used DEWITS on my C5Z with EOC and it worked slamming. I also used a 160F thermostat. My coolant temps dropped SIGNIFCANTLY. Almost too low for street use in winter. On the track it was great.
