The DVR is set! I'm looking forward to seeing the TV coverage as when you're there it's not always easy to keep up with what is actually going on. That early full course yellow seemed to set you guys up really well, shame the heat got to the engine. I grabbed this shot not long after the restart:

What happened at the beginning of the race, you were running about 10th behind the Beemers, and then just disappeared. Next thing I know, you are running 3rd.
Also, are you guys ever going to update your lgmracing.com website? The latest news on there is April 2008. Just wondering if I should delete it from my favs.
Good luck at the next race!

2 questions:

the rules call for a mandatory stop within the first 45 minutes. We qualified 7th and felt that we would lose the least if we pitted at the end of the first lap.
The times of the leaders were still slow because they were not warmed up yet, and our fueling time would be the least because we only needed 2 gallons.
So we stopped very early, spent only 5 seconds stopped at our pit and it took a total of 38 seconds to come in, get gas and leave the pits.
It took a car at speed 7 seconds to travel the length of the pits, so we lost a total of only 31 seconds.
Compare that to stopping at 44 minutes, where you need to refill about 75% of your tank which takes 30 seconds. Add that to the 31 seconds and you have a total of 61 - 7 = 54 seconds compared to our 31.
ADD to that a yellow, and had it not been for a slow lap car, we would have floated to the front position instead of 3rd.
either way, we ran a solid 3rd and then 2nd until our normal driver change.
The lap times in the Rolex GT cars is so close, that only a few tenths seperates the cars on track. So making up 28 seconds on track from pit strategy is a huge bonus.
ANd that is how it happened

Good call on the early pit! Encouraging performance. Is the website dead? This seems to be the only place I can get info on your races. I don't do My Space or Twitter.
