Heroes On Track (HOT) project to host twenty-five disabled soldiers and veterans
Hurricane Region PCA is pleased to announce their selection by the Heroes On Track (HOT) project to host twenty-five disabled soldiers and veterans, along with their companion family members, at our annual Drivers Education event at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC on Saturday, August 14.
Each soldier/veteran will receive several laps around the track, riding with an instructor in a moderate speed Track Session or in a lower speed Touring Session. Companion family members will also be provided rides in the Touring Session. A classroom session, lunch, and other activities are planned. In addition, Hurricane Region PCA is actively seeking donations of suitable goodie bag items for our special guests. Event sponsors are needed to assist us with the costs of hosting these disabled soldiers/veterans, and their accompanying family members.
This is a rare opportunity to combine the passion for our exciting motorsports hobby with a chance to welcome and thank a few of the dedicated men and women who serve our nation, too often at a great sacrifice. If you have never attended a DE before- this is a great time to start. If you are a DE regular, please sign up and help us make this event a success for the wounded warriors. All marques are welcome. Other car clubs and PCA regions are encouraged to publicize this event with their members.
