viper cup
I just learned there is a Dodge Viper cup for the new ACR-X.
There's Ferrari Challenge.
GT3 Cup
Dodge Viper Cup
*Mustang* Challenge.
Why is there not a corvette challenge!! Instead of the carbon edition Z06 GM needs to sell a track ready C6 from the factory.

I agree!
Give me a GS with a cage, fixed roof ala Z06, Brembos, fire system, Dailey dry sump setup w/ AC delete, upgraded cooling, headers w/ offroad X-pipe, lightweight clutch/FW assembly, lightweight catback (like the Katech system), adjustable sway bars, coil-overs w/ adjustable shocks, the ZR1 splitter and skirts, and adjustable rear spoiler.

Get in line! The carbon edition is at least a step in the right direction. Getting there.....IMO, lighten up the carbon edition with 18" diameter wheels (center lugs if they can), sparco Evo "like" seat to accommodate harness, bbk brembo/ap brakes & adjustable coilover & there's our "corvette cup"!

Here are some examples

These were built as club race cars and both the customer's are very happy with the cars!

LOL Daniel yeah would be nice to have a corvette cup and I am sure it would get alot of interest.
for some of those other cup series are all the cars usually transported together by a few semis around to each race?

GM wants nothing to do with it. I've discussed with Callaway their selling the GT3 cars in the US, but they don't seem to interested either. There are Corvette-only races in SCCA TCC, but it's a hodge-podge of rules and mods.
I've come very close to jumping ship to Viper or Porsche in the past just because they sell a car ready to race.

I thought that was simply a wide body package on the base C6?
Of course there is lots of club corvette racing out there, SCCA and NASA. I'm not talking about build-your-own though. There is a huge advantage to a single prep series (racing wise, not wallet wise) and certainly GM could use the PR. All the cars are basically the same and having the manufacturer support is huge. Not to mention the TV coverage. If the Viper and Mustang have their series the vette should also.

yes wide body C6 with dry sump for the manual trans, plus oil cooler, trans cooler and ZO6 suspension. All it needs is to be gutted, a cage and a tune to get ride of the nanneis
Some of us have a few contacts at Chevy and have been preaching this for a few years.
again NASA ST 2 and a few C6Z06s or C5s with a bigger motor in ST1 This is the corvette race series for most guys who race
