Car's new stance with coilovers
Penske coilovers & Hardbar dual rate springs, rodends suspension.
I still have some tweeking to do, aligning it for one.
but the coilovers are on the car at last
I've got pics of all the bit's and pieces, I'll upload them after I sort through them all.

Just got back from my Corvette Club's meeting, which gave me a chance to go for a nice long drive on a variety of roads with the new coilover setup.
WOW what a difference.
Not only is the ride better, but it takes offramps like they weren't even there.
A kidney belt is no longer required.
Rough roads not only don't bother it, but the car has grip on them to boot.

I was thinking of going with PFADT coilovers. I spoke with Aaron about it at VIR and I was pretty impressed with what I learned of his equipment...
Thanks for all your info here...

Sounds like you need to drive faster on those ramps, you know what they say if the car feels like it's on rails you are driving too slow

That sounds like what I'm looking for. After 2 days at VIR a couple weeks ago, I see where I'm not going to be any faster until I do something like this.

In the past..
you could either pick a spring that would make it handle great on a flat track, but bouce all over the place on a rough road.
Or you could pick a soft compliant spring that would give it a great ride, stick to the little bumps, but do poorly when the going got fast.
But that's no longer the case...
With the dual rates, you have a soft spring that not only helps with rough roads, but helps you stick to them better as well. Then the stiff springs kick in when they are needed. So, in a sense, they are self adjusting as well.
Only if I want a ticket!

Haven't been to get it aligned yet.
I still need to replace the steering rack.
I was going to change it out when the engine is swapped.
But that's not done yet, kinda hard for my engine builder to work on it when I kept handing him suspension parts to weld

measured .280
Making a set?
I was going to do that. In the end it was a lot easier just to go buy these. The crosspiece is a real nice CNC'ed part, and all the grease fittings are in place.
