Default R888 - Out of Production?

I placed an order for a set of R888s for my '03Z last week and I got a call last night saying that they were out of production and not available. Does that sound right? If so, what is the best alternative?

Edit: It turns out they looked for 30 series for the rear. They have the 35 series. I'm going with 275/40R-17 fronts and 305/35R-18 in the rear.

Haha, no that doesn't sound right. The R888 is the official tire of the World Challenge Series

Sounds like somebody got the RA-1 and R888 confused. Toyo wanted to replace the RA-1 with the R888 but so many people had issues finding the sweet spot of the R888 Toyo has started producing some sizes of RA-1 again, but not all sizes. Anyway, the R888 should still be available...

RA1 still in production in the CCW sizes. I got mine priced today, the 335/18/30 rears were $390, a huge jump for the $342 I paid in the spring.

Yeah. That's almost exactly what I run on my C6 (w/ 18x10+18x11 CCWs)... I use 275/35r18+305/35r18 on my car. Works pretty well.
