MVP Tracktime... anyone run thier HPDE (Eagles Canyon Sept.)
I found out here NW of DFW in Decatur they are going to run a weekend event out at Eagles Canyon. That looks like a fun new track with the longer straights, might get to use 4th gear for real this time.
I have only gone through the Driver's Edge and Apex i have heard about around here as well.
MVP Tracktime seems to run events all over the country as this is thier only stop in Texas.
Has anyone had any experience with them.

Any feedback would be helpful.

I am a vintage racer with a 63 Z06 who races at Eagles Canyon with CVRA. I have run a string of 2 minute 11 second laps with my (3050 lb) car. However the fast guys in my race class run 2:05s, and a 997 GT-3 runs below 2 minutes!
I must caution that this track (while very safe with lotsa runoff) is VERY hard on brakes because it consists of four (4) long (4th gear) straights, followed by tight turns (hairpins). Make sure that your brake system is working perfectly. Also I would recommend that you Google up videos of in car cameras and study them prior to your race weekend

Already been watching some videos but thats great advice for anyone. Glad to hear Mark runs a good event, im excited to try a new track out. It would be nice to see more of 4th gear. I plan to change my fluid before every event and the pads are easy to change as well. Not running race tires yet but when i do ill have to switch to a better race pad.
Can't wait to get more seat time.
