Hoosier R6/A6 - 315's on stock fronts?
I'm curious if anyone is running Hoosier R6/A6 in 315/30ZR18 on the front of a C6 Z06 on factory rims. I know they have 295/30ZR18 and can use them if not able to go with the 315's.
I plan on running them at the track aggressively and want to make sure I don't have any issues. I can run 315's on my set of Forgelines on the front with no issues but that is on a wider rim.
Does anyone know of someone running 315's in the front that also has after-market brake duct hoses?? Any issues??

Nope, the stock C6Z fronts are 9.5". Hoosier recommends a wheel width +/- .5" in comparison to the affective tread width (315mm = 12.4"). With a 315, I wouldn't go any smaller than a 10.5" wheel; I'm running the 315 on an 11" front wheel.

The following rim widths are the general guidlines that OEMs use for tire sizes:
Tire ---Rim
275 = 9.5"
285 = 10.0"
295 = 10.5"
305 = 11.0"
315 = 11.5"
325 = 12.0"
335 = 12.5"
345 = 13.0"

I run 315's up front on 18X11 rims and have had no issues. I picked up a set of OEM comp greys and was going to use them to keep an extra set of track tires on hand and wanted to run a 315 up front. Doesn't look like it will work very well - I'll just have to run 295's on the front with the stock rims.

after you cross 275 you will get bad inner wheel rub on wheel lock if you have brake ducts in the front. FYI. make sure you get advice form people running ducts on wheel set up prior to making this decision.
