Was fortunate to see this bad boy racing back in the 90's against Dyson in the real Grand Am Series at Watkins Glen. It was the only sports car race I went to that you ABSOLUTELY needed ear plugs. I would stand in the bridge at WG on the start/finish, and this thing would make the entire bridge shake and vibrate. Even inside the bridge you needed earplugs.

UNHOLY SOUND!!!

neat cars! Lou did some driver coaching for Fermin Velez back in 92 or 93 at Mosport, and in return was given some laps in a 333sp

"real Grand Am Series"? Grand Am didn't exist until 2000. I assume you mean the USRRC maybe??

Na, got my dates mixed up, it was like 2001. Not sure why I thought it was the 90's.

Any comments on what it was like driving the 333SP? That is one of my all-time favorite race cars.

Through my crummy little speakers, at work, it sounds a lot like my rewound slotcar in the mid 1960s.

I seen a guy who had one at Pocono and was turning 2:10 laps where I run 1:31 and the average guy with no experience in a C5 does 2:00 or less the first time out. i thought he was going to destroy the tranny in the pits! It was a great car. I bought one that night in diecast which is as close as I will get in this life. i was looking forward to seeing run but the guy had no clue.

WOW! Does *that* bring back memories. I was on the Stormer Bodies team and our motors were rewound and balanced by TRW (seriously! $$$)
