Racing Seats for C6Z
I'd like a seat that will hold me in place for HPDEs better than the stock seats (my left knee is still sore from my last event). I've done some research and I've narrowed my selection to the Corbeau FX1, Sparco EVO, Recaro Pole Position or the Racetech 4009. I drive my car to/from the track so they need to be comfortable for the drive back and forth. I'm planning on also installing a harness bar and 5/6 point harness. Any recommendations, opinions or reviews on these seats?

CF OMP race seat
Are you planning on switching seat in between HPDE's & DD? Or are going to leave the seat in once you replace the stock seat. I have a carbon fiber shell OMP I'm looking to sell if you're intereted.

I bought a corbeau seat and their sliders and had to return everything. The seat has 4 standoffs that raise the seat a little and combined with their sliders the whole seat sits way too high and my head would hit the roof of the car. I went with sparco evo2 plus seats and they work awesome. They have a totally flat bottom so you're not giving up any room, but had to be mounted on custom seat rails a shop built for me. You could use the hardbar ones for $350 apiece. Any other questions you can pm me. oh also do not buy the brey krause harness bar, buy the sharkbar. The sharkbar is cheaper and its positioned correctly in the car... it is lower than the brey krause allowing for proper harness positioning

Melting Slicks
If you want street and HPDE seats that are going to stay in the car? The Caravaggio's are great and do both jobs very well. They are a little spendy but they work on the stock factory mounts and all of the car and seat functions work except the side air bags. In addition to the fact that they look great in the car and the quality is awesome. JD

^ If you're a tall person the Caravaggio's don't really work all that well since you can't lower the set all the way without hitting the lower cross-bar of the seat track. Additionally, the bottoms of the seats are not reinforced with any kind of metal in case you're in a crash, it's just fiberglass.
I would look at the A4 Corbeau's if you want a dual purpose seat.

Recaro Pole Position:
After installation the seat was too low and upright so I built a tapered riser.
Buying seats is like buying shoes, best to try fit first.

Here's a few pic:
rear view:
I'll throw in the pfadt harness that enabled me to continue to use the telescopic steering function & kept the airbag light off. Make me a reasonable offer if you're interested.
Here it was installed in my car:

If anyone else can post solutions to the tall torso/lack of headroom problem, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Phil

I dont work for Arizen racing seats ... but their seat and their tracks may solve all these problems for you. I put the seats and tracks in a c5z and my buddy in his c6z. He's 6'4" and gained room so he can keep his head straight up with a helmet on (unlike with his stock seats). http://www.arizenracingsports.com/pa...zen/CTGY/C5-C6.

I have a new-in-box Corbeau FX-1 and an FX-1 wide available for sale. Agree with above to not use the Corbeau sliders; get a shop to do a custom mount and make as low as possible.
Very egonomic, comfortable seat with good support. PM if interested, with a fair offer.

What is still concerning me is whether my waist and shoulders will fit into the Arizen seats. I'm about 220 lbs, with about a 36" waist. I've sat in a Corbeau A4 and FX1 Pro, and they are too narrow for me. I had a Corbeau TRS that fit me pretty good, maybe just a little loosely.
I'd love to test fit an Arizen seat, but I don't see how that could be done. (I don't know anyone who has one, or any dealers selling them in my area.) So what can you tell me about the width of the Arizen seat?

Im 6 foot and picked up a set of FX1 Pro's. If you grind off the nubs on the bottom you can get the seat to sit low with a set of side mounts.
I drive anywhere from 45min to 3hrs to the track. They're plenty comfortable.

I've also been shopping for racing seats and I've been thinking about the Arizen ones. So what you said about seat height is comforting, because in my preferred driving position with the stock seats, my helmet barely clears my roof. I'm 5' 10".

My buddy that put them in his c6z is 6' 4", 220. He fits, but he has joked that he should probably drop 10-15 lbs. to make it a little more comfortable. He uses them for the street too, does not swap them back and forth. I hightly recommend sitting in whatever you're going to buy first.
