installed front Penskes with Delrin pintops & dual rate coils
Started to rebuild the suspension
Stock spring removed
Notice the curvature on this spring it goes through the frame, it's best to get access to a lift in order to remove it.
Penkes are on!
I'm using Hardbar Delrin pintop mounts.
I'll properly mount the canisters later
I'll also double nut the pintops.
Notice that the swaybars clear the coilovers
The oval hole in the shocks t-bars gave me enough adjustment so hopefully the swaybar will not need to be relocated. I'll know after the links are on.
My friend with the lift did not have a press, and I need to pull the braces under the engine mount in order to pull the lower a-arms.
more parts for when I get a press, and the cross brace removed.
Adjustable a-arms
adjustable vs stock
Del-A-Lum bushing for the bottom a-arms
Front Swaybar links
Rear Swaybar links

nice stuff! I would like to get some Penskes for my C5 if I ever get it together. Probably go with the doubles on my car unless work was better. Great shocks made in the USA. I rather wait till I get the best and do it once instead of some crap made in China. Good to see a C4 getting some great parts! Let us know how it runs!

started taking my rear suspension apart yesterday
turns out I need two of the same size wrench, so I picked up another set.
after trying to get the castle nut spring adjuster off, I also decided it was time to pickup an impact gun.
a breaker bar on a nut that was attached to a spring wasn't quite working out.
go figure.

I got the rear spring out.
Dog bones and camber links mounted
all with DRM brackets
I'll post the pics as soon as I finish uploading them.

Started on the rear suspension
Stock suspension
Removing the rear spring
double sided bolt or stud?
(holds the exhaust hanger and the camber rod plates)
In go the new parts
Adjustable links with rod ends and DRM brackets
I flipped this bolt around later
it would have hit my 3in exhaust I'm installing later
I matched the lengths to the old parts as a starting point
Here's one of the reasons I did the swap
Just a bit of friction in the stock system!!!
