Default Sound measurement locations…..for racers

Would like to confirm where sound measurements are taken for the following tracks?

VIR full course….along back straight after south paddock?
Road Atlanta…along back straight after turn 7?
Mid-Ohio……along back straight after keyhole?
Watkins Glen…??

Thanks

None at Watkins Glen. The deer, woodchucks and skunks haven't complained about the noise yet.

Road Atlanta is just before the Black Flag station.

Why?

Why?

I am evaluating some exhaust changes and want to make sure I am directing the sound away from where it is measured.

At Watkins Glen races, SCCA Sound Control now sets up at the top of the Esses. You'll see the Sound guys in the "Spotter's Stand" on driver's left, right before you cross the tunnel. Sound microphone is also "driver's left", so point your exhaust elbow to the right.

Other organizations will use the sole of the boot (between the Toe and the Heel), and sometimes the short straight between the Heel and the "Off-camber Left" - T9. Again, all these mic locations are "driver's left", so point it to the right.
