**F/S Race Tires for sale**
Hey guys.
I have a mountain of ALMS race slicks, all Dunlops from the last two races.
300-650-18 (25.5" tall, 11.5" wide)
310-710-18 (28" tall, 13" wide)
$100 ea + shipping. Still have tons of material left. Most have no more than 1 hour run time. They make an excellent weekend tire, and typically 2-3 seconds faster than a Hoosier A6 once up to temp.
Grand Am scrubs to be for sale soon as well. The sizes are listed below. These are Pirelli slicks.
305-660-18 (25.8" tall 11.5" wide)
305-675-18 (26.2" tall, 11.5" wide)

I will also be running the Pirelli 305-660-18's on all 4 corners.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input!
I certainly could run a square setup. I used to AutoX on 315s square a ton, though I've never used a square setup for a track day.
I have stock C5Z wheels coming out of my ears, so maybe I'll try 4 of the "front" Dunlops or a set of the Pirellis on those. With the new motor I was just looking to get as much traction in the back as possible.

This is as about as wide as you can go front and back without serious rubbing. They are about the same width as the Hoosier 315 I also run on the rear. Lots of traction on the front and rear with these. I have pretty good neg. camber and my coil overs are set pretty stiff so I dont have any rubbing issues running these.
The car is getting coilovers, spherical control arm bearings and new hubs so it's going to need an alignment anyway. Right now I'm running -2.8 front and -1.7 rear camber. I hear these slicks like a lot more camber?
Anthony, sorry for the thread hijack! At least it's keeping your for thread at the top!

Anthony, I have CCW Corsairs and run either Hoosier 295/30 or 35 / 18 in front and 335/35/ 18 in back. If I use much bigger than 295 in front I get inner fender rub on rub on my DRM and LG front brake cooling package. What do you think about the 300 size up front for my yellow 313 DE car? Bob Halford

Like I've always said if your full lock on the race track, the last thing I would worry about is a brake duct rubbing.
As for the rears. I have done these on ZR1's and C6 Z06's without to much problem. You may find yourself having to raise the rear ride height a bit for them to clear the inner fender well but that is going to depend on the suspension package that you have on the car.
I have not tried one of the 28" on the back of a C5 but they are close to the same inner fender size as far as diameter is concerned.

Anthony,
I appreciated the time you took this afternoon discussing tires with me! I listen to all the information I can when it comes too choosing the right set-up.
Thanks,
Scott

I'm interested in a set Tony, I don't know much about slicks but I've always wanted to run set on a tight course, I have a tight course coming up May 2nd. I run my C6 Z06 in stock factory clearance height in competition mode on the track, and CCW 18X11 18 X 13 which setup of your tires can I run with any issues AH TC? TIA.

With the slicks you are most certainly going to want to run with driver aids off as the increased grip once they are hot is past what the factory calibrated for.
Remember, with any true slick you do need to get heat in the tires first, cold out on a first run they are very slick and do not offer any where near the same traction as they do hot.
I see no problem with them fitting the wheels at all. As far as height goes, stock height you should be ok, you may want to raise the rear adjusters 1-2 turns with the 28" slicks on there.

Anthony I went around asking some questions and made a decided to pass this go around maybe later in the year when my driving up to running without the security blanket of AH and TC. I just purchased a set of R6/s a week ago so I'll run those to the ground. before I upgrade to a slick.
Cheers

I am getting more and more Pirelli's as the GrandAm season continues so do keep those in mind.
I have a good stock pile of the 310-710-18's and out of the 300-650-18's now from the ALMS car.
Let me know if anyone wants one of the 310's as a coffee table, I can have Lou sign it before it goes out.
