C4 rear Camber rod. cam up or down?
I just bought VBP rear suspension set for my LT4. (None of it is on yet) I can now change the camber just by turning the rod to lengthen or shorten them. The kit came with NEW inner locating brackets that still have the camber cam/bolt that works like the stock ones. Moving those cams will also change the angle of the arm up or down (on the inside end) depending on whether the through bolt is at the top or bottom of the cam washer. Geometry/handling wise, which is the preferred position of the arms; High or low on the inside ends of those arms? I'm thinking it will change the rear roll center height and camber gain as the suspension is moving through its arc. Should I just try to make the lower arm parallel to the ground or should it have some angle to it? [ Mostly spirited street & country highway driving.]

I planned to set the inner position either all the way up or down and do the lengthening by turning the rod ends in or out to set the camber. Just couldn't decide which would be the best starting point for the inner positioning. High on the inside would give more camber gain under compression and lower would give less.( I think I have that right) I just don't know how much adjust-ability actually is there till I get it on and see how level or angled the arm will be at mid point in the adjustment with the suspension at rest. This new rig is very adjustable. I just don't want to go too radical for the street. It's nice to be able to have it when I want it though.

On the stock piece they are. These brackets reposition the rod a bit further inboard a little. It looks like maybe about 1/2 inch.(measuring under the car with a framing square and a laser line level) Still might not be as long as the half shaft though, but longer length than before. I'll have to measure the difference when I get an old bracket off and put it beside a new one.
