Default Helping out a fellow racer, For sale thread, some very nice vintage cars

’69 Corvette coupe (easily converted to a Roadster) A real car with history (not glorious but real). Period correct iron block 454* with Edelbrock 6459 aluminum heads Roller cam, Isky springs Oliver crank and rods, Wiseco pistons, titanium valves. Weaver dry sump, power steering, 3 disc clutch. Choice of T-101 or Richmond Super Duty (bevel gear 4-speed but almost unbreakable) transmissions. Aftermarket drive yokes and rear spindles, stock Corvette widened brake calipers, two piece rotors. Eight Jongbloed wheels plus 4 steel wheels with new rain tires. dry break refuel system (pretty handy if you like to run Enduros). Spare bars, springs and pads plus misc suspension parts. Delivery negotiable.

*w/overbore 468cid

Jongbloed wheels are just about the best, his driving skills are not (as I recall).

This car is being sold as a roller. It's very fast and very trick. This car has been well over 200 mph at Road America.

Here is the owners words about the car.
1971 Camaro

Originally an IMSA car, it sat outside for some years and was in poor condition. It was refurbished for vintage racing for the more liberal prep rules in the early 2000s. With the adoption of more “period correct” rules we restored a ’69 Corvette to run vintage. We didn’t want to part out a great car like the Camaro so we upgraded it to run with other organizations as well as a different vintage group. . It was considerably lightened, it has an aluminum driveshaft and rear end and acquired wide wheels. It is set up to run either a big or small block Chev engine. It includes the dry sump tank and plumbing. It has 3 BBS 16x14 rear wheels with 3 ARE 16x12 fronts and carbon fiber brakes. It is being sold as a roller but does include headers for both big and small block Chev engines. It also includes spare bars and other suspension parts and a Muncie 4-speed (we took the Muncie as part of a trade, it is supposed to be good but we have never had it apart). It should be a good car for NASA class AIX, SCCA Super Production, group 9 in vintage as well as being a fun club car.

Both of the cars are at Pat's shop and most likely be heading to our shop for the sale (MN). The prices are going to be fair!!! When I heard some numbers being thrown around, I said "that's it". The reason for the sale after 46 years of racing Dick is getting out of the sport at the age of 77. Because of the million options I can't really nail down a set price. But I can say 30-40k will buy the Vette and 10K will get the talks started on F-body.

Please get a hold of Doug or myself if you have questions or cash
