That helmet cam really show how much of a beating drivers take.

1:55 laps. Ran NASA SU class.

Getting car ready for Grand AM.

Skeen is a former Trans-AM racer. he can start in the back of the field with a Spec E30 then pass everyone.

Thanks for posting. I guess he went out a couple times when I was out there on Friday (18th) but we were on opposite ends of the track

Does that thing have "smart" downshifting? As in, you can pull the downshift paddle a bunch of times, and then the car downshifts at it's own pace. I ask because it looks like the driver moves his hand away from the paddles way before the downshifting is done. If so, pretty cool feature, just tell the car how many times to shift and it gets done.

There is a slight delay.

Mike down shifts very quickly. He will pull the left paddle back 3 ( 5th to 2nd) times as he goes into to T1

Skeen is one heck of a driver. I thought he was still going to drive the #70 vette in the Muscle Mike series as well as the 430 for Bennett Racing

The #70 Vette has changed owners, but I think Mike will be driving a different Trans-Am Vette this year.

Skeen is slated to drive the Agee Racing Corvette in the SCCA Trans-Am Series for 2010. The team will utilize ECR engines for the season.

Here is the car;

Also note, there is no more Muscle Milk in Trans-Am. It is the SCCA Trans-Am Series Championship

I hope th GA deal works out, for as much as I've always loved TA, I'm not optimistic about the series in the short term.

I think the paddle shifters are cool, but I am completely happy with a stick.

Or, even more cynically, for as long as the SCCA is at the helm. I see little proof that they are capable of running any kind of pro racing series well at this point. Too bad too, very cool cars.

When are they entering Grand Am? I don't see them listed on the Grand Am site, but I doubt it gets updated very often. Are they heading to Homestead???
