Default ARP C5 Wheel Studs

I've looked at a number of web sites for ARP wheel studs and can't seem to find the right ones for a C5 OEM replacement. Do they make them? The size i'm looking for is is 12mm x 1.5 thread pitch x 2" long. Everything I see is 2.5". I assume the stud is measured just like any machine bolt - tip to bottom of head (not the overall lenght).
I do not want to put in an extra long wheel stud.

The shortest stud ARP makes is 1/2" longer than standard GM. You will need to use an open end lug nut as the stock closed end ones will bottom out before seating completely. Definitely worth it if you track the car.

We sell the longer ARP studs and the super long ARP studs. This is a a group picture of all the studs that will fit a factory hub without issues.

Let me know if any of these are going to work for you!

What a lot of us would like to do is replace the oem studs with arp, ans still be able to put the stock (closed end) lug nuts back on when we have our street rims/tires on the car.

ok, why do you care what lugs you run on the street? I mean open ended lugs from Pep boys are 1.50 each (or something like that).

might just be worth going all opened ended so you can use off the shelf studs.

I cut mine with a dremel. I had my rear hubs off anyway, so I thought I would go ahead and put them on, then found out they were too long. It took about 5 cutoff wheels to do 10 of them. I then filed down the tip and run a die over them and installed them. Got the how to from another member here. I haven't done the front, so if Randy can get us some, then I would rather have them made that way. Good luck.

ARP will make any length you want. I've found them to be pretty reasonable as far as custom work being done, if its a modified stocking part (yep, I've ordered custom stuff from them).

Give em a call.

Chop 'em off with a hacksaw, chamfer the shoulders with a flat file. It doesn't take very long at all.

Use a good hacksaw blade. Cheapy chinese blades require literally one blade per stud - those ARP studs are tough suckers.

Stock lug nuts with aluminum covers - get beat up and bent.

Open ended hardened lug nuts $1.50 each or there abouts

The wheels I have on my car use 17mm heads. I would like to use the open ended nuts for tracking. The 17s are a little hard to find and no one locally has any. Will these work here =>

just did the 2.5 arp in the front, and i don't like them at all, I daily drive my car and i hate looking and seeing the studs sticking out, I only track the car maybe once a month, going to call ARP in the morning and see if i can get a custom set made in stock length,or may cut them down

I have the ones DRM sells and they are just about perfect. Pretty inexpensive too. My car is a street/track car as well and I didn't want super long studs either. I don't play around with huge spacers so the extra unsprung weight was unecessary. The ones I have are, for the most part, the same length as stock, but threaded all the way to the end so there is room for some spacer. Personally, I would have liked to have them just a bit longer with a non-threaded portion on the end just because it makes it much easier to get the nuts started. On a race car that would have been mandatory, but for my purposes they work well and keep the aesthetics

There are companies like Gorilla Lock that make longer closed acorn-style lugs and they have some anodized colors too. McGard should have longer lugnuts too. Check out Summit Racing for selections.
