Default Which Fire Extinguisher?

I have recently purchased a Brey-Krause fire extinguisher mount for an Amerex 2.5 lb extinguisher. Which extinguisher should I buy and can anyone give me a part no. so I can order it online.

Thanks in advance for your help.

A company named Firefreeze has a product which is called Cold fire it has been in use by the NHRA for a while. Take a look at the website for racing.

The 2.5# Amerex is Model # B417(dry chemical fire extinguisher classification: 1-A, 10-B:C) Which means it's good for chemical and elecrtical fires and stink on paper or wood. Amerex phone: 205-655-3271
I would think anybody who refills them would carry this model.
I bought mine through Eklers.
If you mounting bracket has only one strap you might want to get the "two" band model. My single band model has already "let go of the extinguisher" once.

Get the 2 band strap and racer tape the strap release tabs so any right seater does not kick it loose.

I would go with a Halotron extinguisher. They do cost more, but they don't leave the dry chemical residue all over the place. That white powder stuff is a PITA to clean up.

And definitely make sure the bracket has tow band straps. You don't want the extinguisher falling off if the single band breaks or comes loose.

You can get Halotrons here Dan's a great guy to work with.

I've got another fire extinguisher I can mount to the roll bar but my floor mounted one is a Safecraft. You might check Livermore Performance. I vaguely recall they handled both Brey-Krause and Safecraft.
