Default Possible Traqmate group buy

In another thread, someone suggested there might be enough interest for a Traqmate group buy, like the one we did last year.

Last time, it took two weeks to sell 10 systems, and I actually put the order in early, since some guys ordered extra stuff. We never did get 10 systems. Some guys bought in right away, and it wasn't fair to keep them waiting.

So, how much interest is there? I'd need at least 5 complete systems, and I could do them for 10% off retail, plus shipping. If we can get 10, I could make it a 15% discount.

At 10%, you'd be looking at $899. At 15%, you'd be at $850.

And whatever discount level we reach, would be good for accessories, as well.

If you are interested, send me an email at sales@blackdogspeedshop.com. or call me at 847-634-7534. If it looks like we have enough interest, I'll take $100 deposits to hold your place, with the balance due when I place the order.

To be fair, I'm going to cap this one at two weeks, as well. So, if you need your Traqmate sooner than two weeks from now, you can still order them on our website, but you won't get the GP discount, or count toward the GP.

My car is in your shop right now, and I'd like to have my current traqmate 'transferrable' between my Spec. Miata and the 99' FRC. I'll likely forget to talk to Ray. Can you mention it, and see what it will take to install everything 'except' the dash display and main unit?

Thanks! Your shop is doing an amazing job on my car!

I'll pass the word on to Ray. BTW, did you get the PM I sent you about pics of your car?

I'm also working on a plan where we would rent out a couple Traqmate complete systems.

Essentially, there will be a rental fee / deposit combination. Once I get the unit back, I'd refund the deposit.

I'm still working out all the details, but if you are interested, drop me an email. This would be great if you are on the fence about buying your own, or if you just want to 'borrow' a unit for an upcoming track event.

Talked to Ray today. Traqmate getting taken care of, as all things seem to go smoothly with your shop! I responded to your PM.

I should be in early next week to pick up finished product, and bring to StickerDude Designs for decals, sponsors, etc.

Is it April yet?

Is there a system that just does timing and shows it on the display? I really need, or have the money for, a data logging system but I would like to know my lap times from inside the car. Perhaps one that is upgradable to a data logging system later.

Yes, but the discounts will be different. Dealers don't get the same discount on the video products. Instead of 10% or 15%, you'd be looking at 8% or 12%, depending on how many get in on the GP

Traqmate does not have a product like this. Someone might, but I'm not aware of it.

Yes, the Traqmate Complete does show lap times on the display in real time. It also has a qualifying mode that shows how the current lap is doing compared to the fastest lap you've done.

It's real sweet.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I think the poster was looking for something to just get lap times from. I.e., cheaper than a traqmate.

But you are correct in how the Traqmate complete works.

Mine does and I have been using it for 2 years. I built it too But only as a hobby. The new unit can also be downloaded to the PC and I did an Excel Application SW package for it.

Just under a week to go, and less than five takers. If any of you are on the fence, speak up now, or if you know anyone...

Anyone used an OBD2 data logger in combination with a Traqmate (since I understand the Traqmate cannot read an OBD2 interface)?
