Default NASA Slummit Point 8/22-23 check in thread

So I saw the usual suspects on the list, anyone else coming out?

Woods, maybe this time your TTU vette will actually turn a fast time????

I can't even begin to express how much I'm looking forward to this event.

You mean you are actually going to show up?

The Over The Hill Gang will be there in the usual place.

Woof in it up early....I love it

Oh I'm there and have more than 4th gear this time. New Clutch, pressure plate, Clutch slave and some aero.

Also Mike Geyer and Chuck Wasserott will be there in TTU (vettes)

I'll be camping in the Air Conditioned trailer.

Yo! So, they're finally letting you out of the Doogie Hawser school house for the weekend, huh?

It's good to see you back. See if they'll let you off for the VIR Oct weekend, we should have a good turnout for that one.

Good luck at Summitt, and go faaassssst!

Does anyone know the process to get guests into the event. My wife and kids would like to come up and see what all the fuss is about but i don't see instructions on getting them through the gate...other than participating in the event.

If you want to pay I think you just show up and they charge some fee at the door. I'm not sure about NASA events specifically but for some events (like FATT) anyone can come in for free.

I'm interested if you hear differently as I may try to ride out there Saturday morning for bit.

I have a really ignorant question. What is an HPDE-1? Is it like a club HPDE (instruction, no timing, point to pass, etc.)? I just assumed all the NASA stuff was either a time trial or wheel to wheel. Guess I can just surf on over to their site.

I've been doing HPDEs for a couple years now and given how close Summit Point is I'm looking for more opportunities to do HPDEs there.

Are any of you folks sticking around for the C@C event there on the 25th?

I'll be there the 25th. Where is the sign up sheet for the 22/23rd. Doubt i can wing it but will check and see if the funds allow me to do all 3 days. I may just use some vacation hours that week and take it off.
