Default It's true some fords are pretty cool

Here is a version of the Factory Five cars. The customer has spent about 2000 hours over the past few years building this 2400 pound fun street-track day car. We are helping with the chassis dyno work. Things change from engine dyno to in car.

I have a buddy at work who has 400k miles on his Factory Five Cobra replica. A really fun car for sure. Thanks for posting.

I can dig it (I think the Daytonas are cool looking) but I have to admit that after building and driving 2 Cobras, their allure is gone. They have a higher CG than my C3 and they are not very comfortable. The seating position is all wrong. This was even on an extended version and I'm only 6'1". A Corvette is still my top choice.

Randy,
Those are very cool cars, get him to finish it up and bring it to the National Kit Car RunNGun event in St. Louis. There are usually about 5 of those there racing along with Cobras and many other kit cars.

Never really been a Ford fan but that car grew on me over the years.

Pass this link to him on the Kit Car Shootout if he is interested.

That's funny stuff right there. "at least they circled the problem" It is a cool little car, but nothing I would spend the time or money on.

Randy
BTW Give me a call either at the shop or on my cell

back when dinosaurs roamed the earth there was this device called the "carb-you-rater"

I think only like 4 or 5 still exist. The rest are buried beneath thousands of years of dirt and rocks.

Factory Five also makes the GTM, which I think is the best kit car ever made, ever. Mmmmmmmmmm, mid-mounted LS1...

Some Fords are pretty cool. I'm happy with my 1996 E350 van. It does a great job of hauling bikes, kids, motorcycles, dogs, camping gear, tools, and tires. Oh yea, it does a good job towing the Z06 to and from the track too.

One of our highest horsepower LS engine a carb was used. But other then that they suck pretty bad.

We have worked on NA, Turbo (blow and suck) supercharger, and NO2 carb work. They are pretty easy to tune and work very well when setup right.

And yes we pulled the spark plug wires off the headers. 2000 hours of our customer's time went into this car. Yes I gave him lots of crap for the extra 3 minutes to tie up plug wires. He said, they ordered about 5 different setups and none them worked.
