Friday, September 18th PDA is running the FULL 4 mile course @ Monticello. anyone else from the site signing up?
I can't wait to see what this track is like. It better be too for the +$125K membership fee I heard they are charging. I wanna make sure I get my $250 worth

expensive place...thinking about it, trying to justify that cost.

you're right, it was $350.
Now it has to live up to the hype even more!
you should come and instruct me. I usually run in the advanced group but when I registered for this one I got stuck in HPDE1 for some reason.

I'll be there with bells on
I did one session on the full course last year with the PDA, it was definitely fun. Bottom line, how often do you get to run a new course around here? It's worth it just to experience something new. IMHO 1 day isn't really enough to really get a feel for any course, especially one 4 miles long (and especially with only 4 sessions as you ghet with PDA), but its hard to think of a better way to spend a day...

Tomorrow SCDA is there running the full couse also.
I might go up and watch for part of the day.
Rumor has it Gary Hoffman is going to be there testing the new brakes!

Not sure if I am going to be able to get there with work, but trying. They will move you up when you get there. Just explain that the system for some reason assigned you in HPDE 1.

It's an awesome course. I have a Lotus Exige there, but you guys will love driving the Vettes because there is grip everywhere on the track and the tarmac is smooooooth. Great for the Vette's wide tires. And the long straight with the right-hand kink is fun as hell. Have fun!

At 15 days for $3500 ($233 per day), you could pay the same and run a different track all season long and pocket the $50k for you next track car.
This is for guys where money is not the issue and they are looking to spend a day only with a particular crowd. They would probably loath the type of people that show up at a PDA event, and rather pay the premium to not rub elbows with people worth under $5M or more. It's probably better for most of us anyway. One less car to hold us up and cause a caution to remove from the barrier.

I'll just say PDA people aren't always super-nice either.
I had an even at pocono north for PDA that had like 3 guys being pretty rude to me and making sure I knew they were doctors... Like i cared.
Guess being 24 with a C5 is open grounds for anyone to give you hell for no reason.
The racing (and my instructor) however, was awesome

It could just be how you looked/acted. I know you're never supposed to judge a book by its cover, but when someone jumps out of the car with their hat to the side, blood shot eyes, wanna be gansta dress and an attitude like you know it all, you're going to have to expect a little flack. I sure as hell you know got some flack from us

.
pictures please
