Video of NJMP Lightning track at NCM HPDE on July 20th
I finally got video of a session edited down where I could load it on youtube. Unfortunately the resolution suffered during the editing.
In the beginning I pass a red Vette at the start of the front straight. We're doing around 145 into the braking zone for T1.
The resolution is lousy and the camera is cockeyed, but if you can see a blue car up there that I'm chasing, that's a JSB ZR1.

I'd love to have you ride and critique me!!
Rudy A was my instructor and gave me some very good pointers.
I'm very disappointed that I was unable to use my Traqmate. I find it to be a very good educational tool. I gather inputs from the Throttle Position Sensor and braking so I can see if I'm being consistent. If I try something different from a previous lap, the Traqmate logs a bunch of data other than lap times to let me know if what I did differently helped or not through a segment of the course.
They're concerned about not doing any lap timing, but you can get all the lap timing you want from video - I guess they'll outlaw that next!!
Anyway....I had a great time and enjoyed trying to learn a new track!!!

in car video
And speaking of videos, we are looking for in car track videos, approximately 3-5minutes long with good resolution, taken at any of our NCM HPDE events as well as in car from autox and drags. These videos will be used in a display in our new enthusiast area. visitors will be seated in front of a dashboard with a shifter and steering wheel and will be able to select the type of event and then watch on a large monitor. If you have any such video send it to my attention at the NCM: Roc Linkov, National Corvette Museum, 350 Corvette Dr, Bowling Green KY 42101. Thanks

Looking at the video, looks like times in the 1:16 neighborhood. I did time several cars that day and watched drivers running between 1:17 all the way to 1:45.
I also posted some photos of the day at http://forums.corvetteforum.com/auto...ut-out-to.html
It was a great event and hope to more of the same at NJMP.
