Default Wanted 17" wheels for 85 track car

I am looking for a set of 17" wheels for my 85 Corvette. I would like to have either 4ea. 9.5" wheels or 2ea. 9.5" wheels and 2ea. 11" wheels.
I need the early 36-38mm offset for clearance. I am not too concerned about the cosmetics of the rims, as they will be scratched up anyways.
please reply to gray63@comcast.net
Thanks
Dave

Dave,

I have 4 black Gran Sport style 17" wheels. Will have to get the specifics of offset/backspacing & width. I have used them only for having old tires on my race car to keep soft compounds out of the sun. I had the centers machined larger to accommodate spacers, but that will not have any effect on track use, just cannot put stock center caps on them. Let me know if these are of interest. If they are, we can talk about price.

Ed, Please let me know the width and offset of your rims. If that works, please send me a photo.
Thanks, Dave

Dave,
Here is what I have, but after re-reading your post, this may not work for you. Molded inside the spokes are the following: 17.2x9.5x56, the number 10214046, LM JPN or UM JPN. As I indicated, the center cap hole has been enlarged to accommodate a spacer with center section and is now 3 1/8” dia. Space from inside mounting surface to outside of back wheel lip is 7 3/8”. Space from inside mounting surface to outside of front wheel lip is 3”. Wheel lip depth on front and back is 1/8” as measured from the outside edge to the wheel body. The tires in the pictures are Hoosier R3S03 with mfg date of 2003. I only used these wheels for off-season or extended parking of the car outside. This is no longer necessary because it is now going in a garage.

Pictures are attached. Each wheel has some brush or scratch mark on the surface. The close-up is intended to show you the worst one. I do not know the weight of the wheels since tires are mounted on them.

I will take $500 for all and you pay shipping from zip code 27612 (Raleigh, NC). I will prepare the wheels for shipping and transport to either a FedEx or UPS company location, your choice. If you want the tires removed, I will split the cost with you and get that done. Tires go with the wheels if you want them. Payment by PayPal works best. I will be glad to give you two references of people on the forum I have sold either tires or wheels to in 2009. I am not in business, just changing things around and clearing out my shop associated with my hobby of racing.

We can have further exchanges via my email or CF PM. I will PM my email address.

Did not attach pictures until you determine if the size works for you.

Ed, Thanks for the response with the dimensions. The late C4 offset is too deep for my application.
Hopefully someone has a set of wheels with the 36-38mm offset.

Regard, Dave

I may have a set. Not sure of the exact dimensions/offsets but I was told they came off an early model C4 I was hoping to use them as track wheels on my C5.

Here are some old pictures. I can get new ones to you but it won't be till next week sometime. I am traveling for work currently.

Let me know if your interested.

If you need another set let me know. I have a set of aftermarket ZR1 9.5/11.5" from my '87, so it's the early offset. I'll sell them cheap.
