Good luck Craig. Cool car and like Wally said, that's a hella deal. I was thinking maybe you upped the power with the switch to SU on Saturday, but looks like it's still an ST1 car.

Someone's going to get a great car.

Correct. I got my license with you at VIR 10 years ago and I am not
changing cars or rigs, I am getting out. I have 2 awesome young boys
that are doing all kinds of stuff now, it is very hard to find the time,
and I just do not enjoy driving like I used to.
Plus I have found a safer & cheaper hobby--Crack Cocaine!!!

It has always been a ST1 car, at 6.5 to1 you can put slicks on it and
still be St1 legal (the GM sportsman block was 80 lbs heavier than the
mexico block it had.)
I always end up switching to Super Unlimited because there are more
cars, and with 5 cars in class, a win on Sat and a win on Sun = 4
FREE Hoosier tires!!!

This is a hell of a deal, someone needs to buys this. Craig took no short cuts on this car and it is done right.

Good luck and hope to see you back down the road. Hopefully we still get to see your dad out and about?

Craig,

As you and I talked Saturday about working on the cars all of the time , I understand exactly where you are coming from ....

Good luck to you with the sale, price seems too right.....

Why didn't you run on Sunday ????

I had no idea that you and the other ST1 car had switched to SU on Saturday, I ran in TT so it did not affect my contigency..

Hate to see you getting out of racing, but I truly admire someone who is willing to put "2 awesome young boys" ahead of his own hobby. Enjoy every minute with them, because one of these days (and sooner than you think), you will turn around and they will be grown and gone. With four of my own, I've been there.

Good luck with little league, boy scouts, fishing, camping, and just hanging out. Your boys are lucky. Good luck.

So, did anybody buy this awesome car?

I can remember when it came flying by like we were standing still at VIR a year ago (Spec E30 was running with everybody for some reason).

Not sure! I was reading about the car/driver in the latest Grassroots motor sports mag though. There were two other C4s in the list. Wish there were more pictures!

I never did like more than 19lbs cold, but no one would believe me!
They were fast that way, and never came off the rim.
I sold the car to a guy named Eddie Loveday, he does HPDE with chin
and others, and he is kicking but! He is out of Tennesse i think.

I know there is a big NASA finale at VIR this weekend, and I am trying
to stay away, lest I fall off the wagon!

Yep, Eddie is from Knoxville and I know him personally. He just got started last year doing track days in his Viper and wanted to take it to another level. He is still just doing HPDE alot with Nasa, but I would say he will be in ST1 some next year.
