Default **New Carbon flat bottom ZR1 Splitter from LG Motorsports**

Hi guys,

Wanting to add some performance as well as a touch of carbon fiber to your Corvette? Well I just finished up shooting some pictures of our new ZR1 style, full carbon front splitter. This unit is completely clear coated carbon fiber and is a bolt on item for Z06, GrandSport, and of course ZR1 cars.

Unlike the factory units, you can find ours at a much lower price and it also features a full flat bottom up to the factory air damn to smooth out under body air flow. Add style, and performance to your Corvette today with LG Motorsports!

All of this at a introductory price of only $895!!

Shown here on Lou's 2009 Z06.

Taking orders now, and I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have as well!

Also do not forget our other new Carbon products such as the fuel rail covers, cold air intake, and stay tuned for more upcoming carbon body work!

Do you make anything like that for the C5?

Also, this is a bolt on for the ZR1, but how about a unit for the "plain" C6?

It's a mighty fine looking thing, for sure!

Working on more pieces now, I do not have a timeline for those just yet.

This will work on any of the ZR1/Z06/GrandSport nose cars.

might be interested in this.......

do you guys no think it would be of benefit to trip the airdam even with the bottom of the undertray? The airdam under the nose of the front-breathing Z06 has always driven me crazy!

The only reason for the bottom air dam on a front breather is to get better gas mileage. I got that directly from the GM WInd tunnel guys that tested it.

It creates LIFT because there is NO bottom breather on a Z06. No where for the air that is packed up in front of the dam to go.

And with a lowered car, the stock bottom dam is a waste.

if you are tracking your car, with the bottom dam, and you remove it plus add the front splitter, you will see really good down force up front.

Actually what you will see is LESS LIFT.

Thanks

Lou G

So on a C6 Z will you see less front end lift by just removing the lower dam? That would be a nice little free mod for track days

What you will see is "less lift"

But however you call it, you will gain front high speed grip with the dam removed.

thanks for confirming.......

so even with removing the airdam, adding a ZR1-style splitter, you expect to have LIFT (OEM hood, etc). I'd think you should be getting close to creating downforce if the airdam was removed. I realize the hood still "packs" air in the engine bay, forcing out the bottom, but intuition (really pretty useless in aero work) would lead me to think the car might create a bit of downforce.

Do you recommend adding the OEM fascia support (from the ZR1) for your splitter, or is it reinforced otherwise (radiator support, etc)??

Thanks

How much airflow is there under the car in each case?

By comparison, this is a stock 2009 ZR1 front splitter

Call me crazy. But does your splitter cover up the brake ducts? Hard to see from the picture

No, the scoops from the splitter grab the air for the air ducts. They are still open.
