I use Simple Green for a bunch of cleaning chores on the car, but never for long term soaks. The potential damage to light metals from long term exposure could really be a problem. Be sure to rinse completely if you are using it. Thanks for posting !!

It was discussed a few years ago on the CF that using the concentrated Simple Green will quickly corrode aluminum if left on for any length of time. But if you dilute it to something like a 3-1 ratio of water to SG, it is a good cleaner. It just has to be rinsed very well.

Melting Slicks
Simple Green cannot be used on aircraft on any type due to the citrus acid used as the base procuct. They have a Product only for aircraft-called Exreme Simple Green.
