Default Anyone have experince with kumho Ecsta XS

They look like interesting tires with a 180 Treadwear and available in stock wheel sizes.

Any comparison to PS2's?

Well I was using them at VIR a couple of weeks ago. They seemed to work very well for street tires. not up to PScups but no graining or excessive roll over. definatly worth trying if you don't want to spend a bunch of money for track wheels

What about straight line traction - do they hold big HP ok?

Pick up the latest issue of Car and Driver magazine. The XS soundly defeated every tire in the comparison, including the PS2, in the dry tests. It finished in third overall, only because it was not as good in the wet.

I have a set of XSs on my C6 Z51, and I can tell you from personal experience that they are a great performance tire. This includes a track day at Thunderhill where my lap-times were just 6 seconds away from the fastest Corvette. He was on Dunlop racing slicks, and this was my first ever track day in the C6. (I've got lots of track days in my old C5.)

They also work well on the street, although I expect they will wear out faster than a tire with a higher Treadwear number.

The article is not just a bunch of test numbers. There's also a few paragraphs about how each tire feels (subjective opinions).
